Apparently I have a habit of disappearing after 2-3 posts for the month. I can't believe I didn't post at all in January. ;__; But anyway, I'm back with an anime review!
I'm pretty much late with all the current anime. Haven't been up to date because of how busy and depressing college is. I know some people would say, "No one is too busy for anime." Well, these past few days, I toss my tired self to bed instead of turning on the PC. I'm still a freshman but everything's already mind-boggling, and it even gets harder in the coming years.
For now, let's stick to this anime that aired this past summer 2014! I'm pretty sure almost all of you have heard of this due to its popularity.
Characters (from left to right): Mikoto Mikoshiba, Chiyo Sakura, Yuzuki Seo, Umetarou Nozaki, Masayuki Hori, Yuu Kashima, and Hirotaka Wakamatsu.
This anime doesn't really follow any plot whatsoever. It starts with Sakura who's in love with Nozaki and confesses to him saying she's always been his fan.
Nozaki takes that literally and gives her his autograph with Sakura dumbfounded as ever. She soon finds out that Nozaki is actually a manga artist of a shoujo manga and later becomes his manga assistant. As the story progresses, new characters are introduced either as Nozaki's manga assistants or references/bases for Nozaki's manga.
This is one of the funniest anime I've ever watched. The humor on this one is totally on point. I feel bad for Sakura everytime she's stricken by Nozaki's simple-mindedness and denseness. Their relationship reminds me of Kou and Futaba's from Ao Haru Ride but in a good and hilarious way. You could get hurt but at the same time, you couldn't. There are moments wherein you're supposed to feel pity but you just can't because they're too funny to resist.
My favorite character is definitely Mikorin~ He's so cute when embarrassed! He may look like a chick magnet but is actually shameful of his charming words which is what I really like about him! His seiyuu is also the one who voiced Rin Okumura from Ao no Exorcist. ♥
The thing I like about this anime is that everyone is paired up which makes me feel happy that no one is left out. The usual ship is Nozaki x Sakura.
But I'd rather ship Mikoshiba x Sakura because they look way cuter. ♥
Then there's Wakamatsu x Seo,
And there's Hori x Kashima (which I really feel bad for).
(Don't be fooled; Kashima is actually a girl.)
Overall Rating: 5 out of 5.
I'm not sure as to what anime I should review yet. As for manga, I'm definitely gonna review Koe no Katachi next because it is so amazing and sad at the same time and I can't wait to finish it! I put Hibi Chouchou on hold because Koe no Katachi gave me more hype than I expected. :v
And to end this post, here's Nozaki as a potato. You're welcome.
