A lot of my friends recommended this manga to me. I recently finished this and I was so so satisfied! ♥ Will surely be reading more shoujo manga in the future.

The manga is by Yamamori Mika. It's about a country girl named Suzume Yosano (right) who moves from a remote town to the big city which is Tokyo. She suddenly gets lost and faints but fortunately she is rescued by a random guy around the neighborhood where her uncle resides. On her first week in her new school, to her surprise, she finds out that the random guy who rescued her is actually her homeroom teacher Shishio Satsuki (left). She then manages to befriend the cold Mamura Daiki (middle) who is her classmate and seatmate. Although he seems cold, Mamura is actually extremely shy around girls and he's quite bothered about the fact that he's friends with Suzume. Just as Mamura's feelings start to arise, Suzume develops feelings for her first love who is... her homeroom teacher?

This is the first long shoujo manga I've read (78 chapters). My first reaction to this manga is the art style is very pretty and amazing. Also the first pretty shoujo manga I've read. :3 All the characters look beautiful. I really like how Suzume dresses and does her hair, especially on this one! This is my favorite look of her!
I felt drama most of the time while reading this manga because it has a lot of ups and downs, but still I love the story development. At first, I didn't know who to choose; Shishio or Mamura? ;n; But the ending spoke what was deep in my heart. ♥ The fight between them was pretty intense. though. :v The drama is perfect on this one. Not a typical story which is what I like about it. I'm actually fine with student-teacher relationships in fiction 'cause I watched Onegai Teacher and read Ao Haru Ride but on this one? Please. I'm totally fine with it because this teacher is too hot to handle.
Although Shishio-sensei's hot, I'd still go for Mamura because MaZume is my OTP. I think he's absolutely perfect for Suzume. I've been rooting for them since Chapter 20-ish or 30-ish. I forgot. xD My love for Mamura grew even more at the second half of the manga. I mean, who doesn't like kuuderes? :3
I seriously love the manga. The plot is unique and exciting. (y)

I just realized that I made only one post in November. ;__; College is seriously sucking the life out of me, but let's leave that aside for now.

I already planned out my possible cosplans for 2015! I can't assure that all of these will be debuted, but they're worth the try, time and money!

1. Vocaloid - Megpoid Gumi (Matryoshka ver.)
She is my favorite Vocaloid and I want her to be my first Vocaloid cosplay. It should've been Rin but I don't feel like cosplaying her yet. The reason why I didn't think of cosplaying Gumi at first is because I didn't know which version of her I'd love to cosplay, and I'm not interested in default outfits. Then my otaku friend who is our Luka suggested that we should do a Vocaloid Matryoshka group cosplay this coming Otaku Fest. I haven't heard the song before so I looked it up, and guess what? It's currently my favorite Vocaloid song because it's really catchy. I love Gumi's character design so I volunteered to be Gumi and said that we should make this happen since it's easy and budget-friendly. Our group cosplay for this consists of Gumi, Kaito, Luka and Gakupo. I know this is supposed to be Gumi and Miku's song but sadly we don't have a Miku. ;;OTL

Will debut this on Otaku Fest 8 this February!

2. Kagerou Project - Shuuya Kano (Genderbent ver.)
Since my otaku friend who is our Kaito will also be doing a genderbent version of Ene, I decided to partner up with him! Kano is one of my favorite characters (also my husbando) and I love his genderbent version so I thought this'll be fun to do. I'll probably make the mask if I feel like it.

Will debut this around summer, TORCH 6 (July) and maybe eSports (September)!

3. No Game No Life - Sora (Genderbent ver.)
I can't find his genderbent version on Google. ;;OTL My cosplay buddy suggested that I should cosplay Shiro instead because of my height (5'0") but no way. I'm not fit for cute characters like her. xD Although I'm short, I'd still love to cosplay badass characters like him. I planned this originally for Otaku Fest, but I'd rather prioritize my Vocaloid cosplay.

Will debut this probably on eSports or any other events on September.

4. AnoHana - Meiko "Menma" Honma
While on a bus ride on the way home, my cosplay buddy came up with an idea to do an AnoHana group cosplay with me as Menma, her as Anaru and other friends as other characters from the series. I said, "Eh, never mind. Menma's too moe and I'm not a moe person." She replied, "But you're the shortest in our group! You have an advantage!" And then she gave me all these encouragements and reasons on why I should include her in my cosplans. I decided to give in. This is the first anime that made me cry really hard anyway so I thought I should pay tribute to the series!

Will debut this on ARCHCon 2015 (October)!

In 2016 (whoa super advanced cosplanning), I'll probably cosplay most of the school girls from my cosplans, but that's subject to change if ever there are cooler characters in the future. :3

I'll post a review on my red circle lenses and Gumi wig once I get my hands on 'em!

I finished this manga a few weeks ago but I decided that this was worth reviewing because this is probably the first shoujo manga I absolutely fangirled over. I'm not really a manga reader but I'm slowly getting into it and the shoujo genre is one of the best choices I picked (obviously 'cause I'm a girl).

The manga is by Sakisaka Io who's also the author of Ao Haru Ride (which I will be making a review on probably a few days after the manga is finished) and Hal. It follows the story of Ninako Kinoshita who's an inexperienced 15-year-old that's clueless about love. She then gets into a random encounter with the quiet but popular Ren Ichinose on the train. After a series of events that makes them draw closer to each other which mostly happens coincidentally, she falls in love with Ren but soon finds out that he's already in a long-term relationship with someone else. As the story progresses, she learns to cope up with this problematic first love of hers and her growing as a person.

I know the plot is so cliché (even I thought it was cliché at first) but you'll never know unless you try. This manga not only has cuteness and fluffiness, but drama as well. I feel really bad for Ren's friend though. Oops. :v I also literally felt the pain of Ninako, too. The story development is great. There are times when I get to fall in love with Ren, too because he's my type of guy. :v The random encounters between Ren and Ninako are too cute to handle. ;w; I always get amazed everytime I finish a chapter from this manga. Like seriously, sometimes you can't tell if it's expected or unexpected at a certain point. It just makes you curious! I can't believe some (kind of) typical shoujo manga could make me feel this way. The ending really gave me feels that were too hard to hold in resulting to me crying like a hopeless romantic. I highly recommend you read this cute manga.

I'm so in love with this series right now. I haven't gotten over it since that last episode. It makes me want to read the manga of it but I'll try to keep myself under control to appreciate the anime. The concept is just so cool and their freaky eyes! Just--

It follows the story of Ken Kaneki (right) who meets the beautiful Rize Kamishiro (left) in a coffee shop at Anteiku. He then finds out that she also takes an interest in literature and asks her out on a date. While walking on the way home, Rize suddenly attacks Kaneki and reveals that she is a ghoul, a human-like creature that devours only human flesh. Just when Kaneki is about to have his life completely taken, Rize is crushed by a falling platform. They are immediately taken to the hospital in grave condition. Since Rize is dying, the doctor decides to transplant her organs into Kaneki, turning him into a half-human/half-ghoul.

I honestly didn't understand what the 11th Ward or the 20th Ward was at first. I thought they were different groups of ghouls or something (e.g. 104th Trainees Squad in Shingeki no Kyojin). Forgive my airheadedness. :v I really like the concept of ghouls here. They are disgusted by every food in the world except human flesh and coffee and they could last for about a month without eating. Oh cool, I could still enjoy coffee even if I were a ghoul because coffee is one of my waifus/husbandos. They can even regenerate. Man, I've always wanted that power! D: I also love how every one of them has a different kagune. This also gave me the feels at one point wherein Touka explains the painful and heartbreaking struggles of being a ghoul. :<
Hands down, I think all ghouls in the anime are badass.

My favorite episodes are the first one and the last one. I'd rather have you find out on your own than post screenshots here. ;D

Also, Touka Kirishima is now my waifu. <3
 I ship Kaneki x Touka so badly. <333

Hey, my first rant here in my blog! This post is actually inspired by my friend who has friendship and relationship issues and had a suckish life. HAD. But she still keeps on posting bitter statuses all about the like. I was reading them like "wow, you seriously are wasting a part of your life by giving a fuck on things which are not worth bringing up because they are all in the past now".

I get that you lived in angst before but that was before. Don't be stupid to make them your "now" again. You know that you should've been wise enough to think twice on that. Why the hell bother on stuff that are completely unnecessary now? It's like you're still living in that part of your life when you should instead wake up and face the reality that it's all over.

I also had the same experience, except that I didn't give a rat's anus at all after. I had a miserable life back in elementary. Well, there were times when it wasn't going downhill but most of the time it was. I went through the usual. I got bullied, ostracized, secluded, etc. They laughed at me because I was different; I laughed at them because they were all the same. I wonder why I was a target for bullying. I was still unlucky to encounter that fate. Jealousy always lingered whenever I saw those students that everybody seemed to adore so much. Even students who were shy like me didn't even try to be open and popular yet they were still liked. I hated myself for being so different from everyone else. I had friends but they weren't really "real". That lasted for about six years until graduation came. At the ceremony, I honestly didn't feel any sadness at all. "Great! Time to leave all this bullshit behind," I said. I saw my batchmates crying and hugging while I was just with my family, not giving a single shit. I know I lived in bitterness, but I'm glad that's over with. I think it's because of my bitterness that I've forgotten a lot of things that happened back in elementary. Well, doesn't matter now.

High school came and it was a rough start. It was my first time being with people who were way different. It was also my first time studying in a school that is not in the city so I was startled by the change then suddenly went all berserk because I couldn't stand them at first. "Great! I'm different again. So much for restarting my life." Then I realized that I was the one ostracizing myself, but not for this whole time, at least. Luckily, they were open-minded enough and were willing to still accept me. I was relieved, got used to them and soon loved them. My smile widened so much as I got to experience true happiness with friends. My high school life had a lot of ups and downs and those downs were really upsetting. Fortunately, we were mature enough to settle things properly which resulted to a happy ending.

However, in the midst of my first year in high school, I suddenly heard these rumors about me from my elementary classmates and apparently became popular. I was like "why the hell are you involving me in your shenanigans when I'm not even with you guys anymore?! I didn't give a fuck at all and this is what I get?! Bullshit. I've moved on so you should, too."

University life has been doing really great. I seriously became an extrovert. Well, not completely, but still I became louder and more open with people. Maybe it's because I had the sudden urge to make a change again. Still, I'm proud of myself for making these changes. I'm happy.

Pardon me for all the swearing. Basically, the point is, how happy you will be is much greater than how sad you are now. Misery won't last forever because it doesn't and will never matter. You'll soon get to the good life. I know in my heart that at least a few people would accept you. The rest who wouldn't won't matter as long as there are a few. Don't keep telling yourself that you are so imperfect. I know that someone would be fascinated by your imperfections. Be blessed that your sadness won't last for long. Embrace your present life and it will soon embrace you back.

This has got to be one of my favorite anime for this year.

It's based on a light novel series about two siblings Sora and Shiro who are hikikomori in the real world but are hardcore gamers in the gaming world. They are known as 『　　』 (blank), a group of unbeatable online gamers with impossible scores to surpass. One day, they receive an e-mail from an unknown user who challenges them to a game of online chess. Luckily, they win and are suddenly reborn in a fantasy world called Disboard, wherein everything is settled through games. They discover that the person who transported them is Tet, the world's one true god. Sora and Shiro starts their journey in bringing the human race Imanity back on their feet as well as world domination to defeat Tet.

I absolutely love the concept and the story progression of the series. It gets me really hyped everytime Sora and Shiro challenges somebody to a game. I also get amazed by how smart, wise and clever the siblings are. The fight scenes are mindblowing, too.

My favorite episode is episode 6 wherein they are challenged to a game of Materialization Shiritori!


Shiro's cuteness always captures my heart. And her eyes. Her eyes. *collapses from intense nosebleed*
I'm in love with the animation, art style, and hue that was used throughout the series. I also love the fact that the seiyuus of Sora and Shiro are also the seiyuus of Sorata and Mashiro of Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo! See the similarity: Sora[ta] and [Ma]shiro.

The OST albums are awesome and fun to listen to! They really sound like tracks from various video games! There are certain songs that sound like they come from Scott Pilgrim, Final Fantasy XIII and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 because of the violin, the 8-bit music, and the dubstep. They are perfect for action scenes (plus points if they are game-related).

When it comes to anime, I'm really particular with the OST so I'm going to review more of this stuff in the coming days.


Now, I understand that Yosuga no Sora is an R-18 anime which they say has over-the-borderline mature content so for the safety of my (not really) innocent mind I decided not to watch the series. But how did I get to listen to the OST without watching the anime? Well, I discovered this song on Tumblr which was originally an audio post.

I decided to pick out one which has a tutorial in case you guys want to learn this on the piano. I immediately searched for this on YouTube after listening to the track because I thought this was worth learning. It's not really hard though if you can get the gist of the arrangement right away.

What instantly came out of my mind was: WOW. It's so dramatic but pleasurable to the ears. I love the chords used in this piece. It's full of minor 7's and major 7's and I absolutely love these chords so much because (I might not explain in properly so please bear with my feels) it gives a warm and icy feeling at the same time but I can't say they sound lukewarm. I also tend to imagine an autumn scenery whenever I use major 7 or minor 7 chords but in this piece I can imagine almost all of the pretty sceneries.

The rest of the tracks in the OST album are also amazing. Most of them sound really dramatic like you could think of every beautiful sadness in this world but they're not overly dramatic which is what I like about them. As you listen to the album, you tend to notice the signature or similar part most of the pieces possess although they were arranged differently. I think all of the songs are really well thought out despite their quite simple arrangement. They are perfect for scenes that are full of nature as well as scenes that are at least dramatic enough to make somebody feel the drama as well. To me, they are not really fit for tragic scenes.

Until now I'm confused as to why and how composers of the OST could make such beautiful tracks for a 12-episode erotic anime, not that I'm degrading that type of anime or anything but you couldn't just compose amazing pieces for really mature content. I wonder how they accepted that kind of deal.

This is currently my favorite OST album of all time. Like seriously, whenever I go outside with my earphones on, I always listen to this because it feels like having background music in your life.

So a few days ago, I watched the anime film Hotarubi no Mori e (Into the Forest of Fireflies' Light). It's a movie adaptation of the manga one-shot of the same name.
